Vad är KBT?
Kognitiv beteendeterapi (KBT) är en terapiform där man slagit samman Kognitiv psykoterapi, som grundar sig på teorier om våra tankar och vår informationsbearbetning och Beteendeterapi, som grundar sig på inlärningsteori. Ett av de viktigaste målen med KBT är att- via språket, tankarna och beteenden- lära sig att både reglera och kunna leva med sina känslor. KBT ses idag som ett paraplybegrepp som inkluderar flera nya metoder såsom tex. mindfulness, Compassion och ACT.
KBT är lätt att förstå både teoretiskt och praktiskt. Behandlingsmetoden är strukturerad och tydlig. Behandlingen bygger på samtal och praktiska övningar som du gör mellan sessionerna. I KBT arbetar man först och främst med det som är här och nu även om man tar hänsyn till det som varit tidigare och hur det påverkat.
Vi träffas 1-2 gånger för bedömning och kartläggning. Du känner om du vill fortsätta inleda terapin med mig och jag gör en bedömning om jag tror att jag kan hjälpa dig. Det vanligaste är att man träffas en gång/vecka. Längden på behandlingen kan variera beroende på problematik. En KBT behandling brukar vara mellan 5-20 sessioner.
